Juan Padro
Founder
Juan Padró is a founder, operator and civic-minded business leader best known for building one of Denver's most respected hospitality groups while advancing a people-first approach to business that blends operational excellence, equitable compensation and community impact.
Juan is the co-founder of Culinary Creative Group, a multi-concept restaurant company that has grown to more than 20 restaurants and over a dozen distinct brands across Colorado. Under his leadership, the group has earned multiple Michelin Bib Gourmands and a reputation for developing chef-driven concepts that balance creativity with disciplined execution. Beyond food and design, Padró has been a leading voice in rethinking restaurant business models — championing equitable pay structures, ownership pathways for creative and long-term sustainability in an industry facing historic economic pressure.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Padró helped spearhead some of Colorado's most impactful private-sector relief efforts and was also involved in advocacy efforts that helped shape the Paycheck Protection Program. He founded the Colorado Restaurant Response, which prepared and distributed thousands of meals to frontline workers and local shelters, as well as creating low-cost COVID testing clinics for hospitality workers and vaccination efforts for the Hispanic community.
Padró’s philanthropic work extends to educational and cultural initiatives such as Access Opportunity and Biennial of the Americas. He has also been involved in large-scale humanitarian relief efforts following Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico — work rooted in his family's heritage.
Before entering hospitality, Padró built a career in executive search, recruiting and professional services leadership spanning financial services, technology and management consulting. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from the University of Massachusetts, an academic foundation that informs his long-view approach to leadership, systems thinking and institution building.
He resides in Denver, Colorado with his partner Diana Flores, her two teenage children Benny and Sofia, and their red retriever Ariel.
